Vest's raw spots are looking a bit dryer since he started the antibiotics and hopefully today we can get the HA food. And maybe, just maybe those lab results are in! He does seem to be acting much perkier and happier since last night. Maybe the sores are bothering him less now that they are dryer.
Just wanted to give a little update.
It's Tuesday and the long weekend is over....

Re: I am sorry, I wanted this to be continued....
on the Vest thread I started a while back so there would be a history of what we were talking about. For some reason I started a new thread.
Sara and her 6 kitties. Clover , Saharan, Mona, Negrito, Nando and Silvestre (Vest/The Vest).
Sara hi how is Vest doing?
Sara~
I read your post and poor Vest and his sores. Did you ever find the answer to what caused them?
How is he doing with his leg and knee joints. HOneybun is doing good, but has a followup visit to check her both back knees to see how the operated one is and how the other is. I have had her on Cosequin since surgery.
We recently changed litter to Tidy Cat blendwith crystals and she has gone more in her litter, absolutely no dust at all. You cannot even make dust. I love it, and she is not sneezing in her box anymore and has more stools. I am in kitty heaven. Thinking of getting another kitty to keep her company, maybe a year old or so female.
Take care. Mona

Re:My update about Vest's skin to Traci and a reply to Mona.
About Vest, his two skin scrapings came back negative. Now I am awaiting a culture, hair folicle/skin culture, to be done growing or not growing or whatever it does. He is on antibiotics now and completely off the topical meds. For more on that the original thread, before I messed up and made it two, can be read. Today the vet is dropping off some hypoallergenic food.
This food thing is hard as I have 6 cats, one fat that needs obesity food, 2 chubby that need light and two normal that need normal food and Vest is one of them. Now I have him that needs the hypoallergenic food. I am nto sure how I will manage all of this. Traci, do you think I should give all the cats the hypo or seperate Vest at feeding time?
About this new litter Mona, is it like the Arm and Hammer litter with crystals? I get so jealous as we have very little variety here in Argentina. We have some imported but the price is very expensive. I would love to try the A&H with crystals.
Vest has had no problems with his back knee. Last x-ray he had just to check up on the knee everything was perfect. I have never had one problem with that.

Re: Mona....
Mona, about the medication she is on, what is it?
Also, are you really thinking of a new kitty? Wow! Have you thought about Siamese Rescue? They have so many beautiful cats. They even have some that are Siamese mix with pale blue or green eyes. I looked at the site several times and wow! They seem to know allot about each cats/kittens personality too. Just a tempting thought... I wish I could have more!
Glad you love the litter and let me know how things are going.
