Heart Gaurd meds???

Hi Group, where is a good site online to buy HeartGaurd? I use to get it from my vet. But I have since moved away from that area. And I need a place I can get it from until I find a vet to bring my dogs too. Any suggestions?

It's a prescription medicine, so you'll have to find a Vet first.

As Marty notes, Heartguard is prescribed by vets only. If you find it elsewhere or online, beware, it won't carry a gaurantee and it could be a counterfeit product. All dogs require testing for heartworm before being put on a heartworm preventative, and should be tested yearly. Conscious vets will not prescribe heartguard without an exam and heartworm testing.

If you saw your vet within the last year, call and ask if they will give you a prescription so you can either order it on-line from a reputable supplier, or perhaps even a local vet would honor it. If they won't give you a presciption, ask if they will mail it to you.

I just had them tested before we moved. I called up some of the vets around where I live. And they said I could get it through them. I just had to have my old vet fax them a note saying I had my dogs tested. So thats what I will be doing. Thanks for all your helpful points.
