Thanks Karen...I will tell her this...I am not sure how far she is in the nursing school, but when she saw the new vet assistant program she was really interested...but that is a good idea to finish nursing and then add on the vet tech...
then she could work at a human hospital on those shifts and then part time in a vet office...

Tambrey- you know the way you took those pics....at his level not from above...it gives you a perspective of what it must be like to be so small when everything else is so tall. (Kinda like a Disney movie)

I just wanna hug (((Munkie))).

Wages for veterinary assistants vary across the nation, and there's a big difference between an assitant and a technician, the assitant will earn much less than the technician. However, courses for veterinary assistants are good for the ground level, learning and getting the experience. There's actually a shortage for qualified techs and assistants, ... vets don't want to pay quality wages then complain when they have a high turn-over, (most often related to stress on the job, underutilize the tech/assistant's skills, etc)

Personally, Tambrey, I think your friend should go for it, at least the courses if she can afford it. There are so many fields she could enter in both forms of medicine and could have those skills behind her....she will choose which is most rewarding for her.

welll...no more formula in a bottle...however, he still has not figured out drinking water from the bowl, so I will put water in a bottle for him..

I also tend to water his gruel a bit after he has begun to eat, in hopes he will soon figure that out...

He is using a litter box to pee and poop in now...so no more walking into the bathroom to find little surprises, or big wet surprises in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning!!

He us running around and his favourite game is to knock the water bottles over...he has accumulated 3 of them and we will stand them up around the bathroom floor and he delights in running around and pushing them over as fast as he can...

wish I had a video camera....

If my floor was not such a mess   I would have taken pics of Munkie getting to know some of the others...Skittles was really wanting to play and was jumping and rolling all over around Munkie, but he just could not figure her out...hahaha...

However, he had a gret time chasing Roo's tail...Roo laid under the dining room table trying to "ignore" Munkie, but would keep swishing his tail at him...Roo was letting Munkie play with him that way...but trying to not be too obvious, being the cool dude that he is...
