Coon Dog Rescue Story

Post by Tambrey »

here is a link to a thread on my SHE forums about a coon dog rescue...he came from a shelter closing in Tennessee and is now settled in his new home in Canada

I hope the link works even if you are not registered...
Coon Dog Rescue Story

He just got home a bit ago and has done some exploring and all...

I guess the shelter he came from is being closed and they are desperately trying to find homes for the animals there or else
And the best part is: We can all play! There's plenty to around! No room in your life or budget for a new dog? No problem! Just do this:
~ go to http://www.petfinders.com
~ click on the Shelter and Recue Groups link at the top of the page
~ if it asks your location, enter "Milan, TN" (without the quotes)
~ if it takes you straight to your home state, no problem. Just go to "State" at the top of the page and use the drop-down list to select Tennessee.
~ either use Edit/Find menu to find "Milan" or just scroll down to Milan, TN
~ click on Circle Of Hope Animal Rescue of West TN.
~ click on Adoptable Pet list
~ take a look at the dogs that they have available. Some of them say "Due to another shelter closing, this dog is in danger of losing his/her life." Those are the ones that are still Coon's shelter and in danger of being euthanized.
~ Pick one. Print out the web page, and show it to everybody who seems interested. Even if they don't need a dog, they may know of someone who does, or a rescue group who can help. I know that Coon, Honda, and Riley are the three that Phyllis and Ashley were most upset at the idea of having to kill because of their sweet natures. And you've heard how missy has described Coon; you can picture how sweet the other two are.

I can see why she rescued that wonderful dog. He could tug at your heartstrings.
