Please pray that one way another (through healing or passing), his pain is relieved. Please pray that his people will know when he is ready and be strong for him.

Please, again, get that second opinion TODAY, your vet should be obligated to do so.

Check is in my thoughts and prayers, and I encourage you to not to give up, see a feline specialist ASAP!

Our baby Check died a week ago from highly malignant breast cancer.

The last evening was heart wrenching when we decided it was time, and we'd take him the next morning. We couldn't handle seeing him like that...

Fortunately, God took him right before we had to put him down. Now I hope he can entertain friends and family who have gone before - three just this year to the same cancer that took Check! What a horrible, horrible disease....

My heartfelt thanks for the prayers! Now we have to be good parents to Check's sister Choppi, who, interestingly enough, seems to be enjoying her reign as queen of the castle again....

Again, many thanks....

I am sorry....

Safe journey {{{Check}}} and enjoy your time across the Bridge

are there other siblings or from previous litters that you know about that should be tested for this cancer?

If your vet suspects mammary adenocarcinoma in the pets you've lost, I have to ask, were all of these pets spayed/neutered at appropriate ages, and were they littermates, or aquired from a breeder? If so, your vet needs to talk to the breeder, and determine if the breed is susceptible, or if spay/neutering was done, or if Ovaban was given at any time, etc etc. Something sounds amiss here. If Choppi isn't spayed, make an appointment for her spay immediately (preferrably with another, qualified vet)

I am so very sorry for your loss, Check is in my prayers.....safe and gentle journey, sweet Check......(((HUGS)))

Check was adopted through the Kentucky Humane Society (he was a stray). Choppi was a stray my sister in law found as a kitten in Danville, KY., so they were more "step-siblings" than from the same litter.

He was never treated with Ovaban that I am aware of.

Choppi was spayed at one year, and Check already was neutered when we adopted him.

When I get the test results I will post them in my OP.

Many thanks for the prayers!
