Will it never end...
Will it never end...
Sorry for making a new thread, but the other topic didn't seem right.
Winnie went for her dental today, and all was fine until the Vet called me while she was still under. I knew she had a small lump at the base of her neck and shoulder area, but apparently it broke open after they brought her to the back, because it wasn't bleeding while I was there.
He said it was pretty nasty and wanted my permission to take it out while she was still under. Of course...no need to put her under again. Talked to him later and he said he had to take out quite a bit to be sure he got it all, and the incision was bigger than I might expect. He will send it to pathology.
Sigh...my sweetie!

Re: Will it never end...
Sometimes it seems that way. Poor Winsome Dixie! Hope she is feeling fine by tomorrow.
Re: Will it never end...
I hope it's nothing serious, Marty, ...keep in mind that sebaceous cysts can get infected, this may be all it is...prayers it is not something else.

Re: Will it never end...
Thanks, I never thought about infection...I can pray that is what it is.
Re: Will it never end...
Dot.your post made me smile! Not many people remember the "Winsome Dixie" part. Thank you!
Re: Will it never end...
if you figure the percentages than it is sebaceous..but even if not the cjhances of it metastesizing from that area are miniscule...good luck
Re: Will it never end...
Hope it turns out to just be the cyst and she is ok, Marty.
Re: Will it never end...
Not yet, Traci...hopefully when she goes in for fluids on Thurs they may have the report.
Re: Will it never end...
Ok, hopefully it's good news.
How often is she getting fluids now? Are you comfortable yet with the idea of giving them at home?
