This is a little tale about Ringo, our Tabby cat. We have our sofa away from the wall by about 3 feet and when Mrs. jdf has her hair in a pony tail and watches TV with the pony tail hanging over the back of the couch, Ringo stretches up, grabs her hair and plays with it.
One night we were watching the news and Ringo spotted the woman news anchor with long hair on the screen and tried for a long time to catch her hair. Thought it was interesting that he made the connection between the real and a TV image.
When they were youngsters, both Ringo and Ruby tried to catch Nascars on the TV screen when they zoomed by. They've both become jaded with race cars but cats are very easily entertained and very entertaining.

Cody plays with my hair all the time. Cassidy likes to chew on it 
Cassidy also watches tv but she's not a Nascar fan (and neither is her mommy)

Wish I had hair.. I remember the days when I did though.... oh wait.. I do have hair.. its just that one pesky bald spot I have...

That story reminded me of my kitten, Willie
At night, when I'm watching TV, he sits on the edge of my bed and really seems to be watching the TV screen. Every once in a while, he'll sit up and swat the screen, but then lay right back down and watch.
I love it when he does things like that.

My cats both love to sit in my lap when I'm on the computer. The both reall enjoy chasing the cursor arrow around the screen.
And for some reason my GF's cat seems intent on the newscrawl at the bottom on CNN or other news channels. Perhaps she's just really interested in the news?
