How long after spay

can I give my dog a bath? My new dog is from a shelter, and they did not even bathe her before giving her a spay surgery! They said not to get her wet, but I forgot for how long. The spay was yesterday so when can I bathe her? TIA!

I'd wait a few days, since movement could rip out her sutures, and I'm sure she's still slightly painful.

If you need to remove dirt, etc from her fur, take a damp cloth that has alittle shampoo on it (dog-safe that is), run through her fur, and take a new clean, damp cloth and go over her fur again. Be careful around her abdomen, and don't stretch her skin there.
