We all know how addictive animal crackers can be... a neighbor kid gave me a box of them the other day and I was munching on lions and bears while parked in front of the computer. After more or less unconsciously eating the entire zoo, I left a few broken pieces in the box.
Ruby got on the desk and was fishing around inside the box with her paw but came up empty. She then picked the box up with her mouth and dropped it on my mouse hand, looked at me and meowed. I dumped the contents onto the desk and she happily munched away at the broken ends and pieces. Probably not the best treat for a cat but I was impressed with the way she let me know she wanted her share.

Re: animal crackers
Yup... my boys and my parent's cats are all fans of crunchy carbs. My parent's cats favorite is wheat thins. My boys really go for the cheerios, but they like animal crackers, wheat thins, and rice krispies as well. Any time Pat hears them hit the bowl, he comes running and won't leave me alone until he gets a few.
The funny thing is that I just recently bought the off brand of cheerios, and they are using garfield to advertise, so the bag actually has a picture of a cat eating them, which is exactly what happens...
