Hello, again,
Just an update on Shannon's condition. She is responding well to the medication and was retested Thursday. The results came today and they are adjusting her medication to a smaller dose as her T4 went a little low this time. She has gained a few ounces back and is doing well in general. She is to be retested again in four weeks and more adjustments may be made if she gains more weight. She is eating very well and is more active.
Just want to say a big THANK YOU to all who offered thoughts and prayers for Shannon. I am so greatful. I will continue to pray for all your furbabies also. Much love to all and thanks again.
Love,
Peg
Shannon
Re: Shannon
good to know she is doing well and meds are gettign adjusted...thyroid meds are so much fun...I was hyperthyroid a few years back, but after a year on meds (Tapazole), mine have been stable, or in remission, I guess, so I have not needed any meds since then...but still regular testing is important...
keep up the good work!!

Tambrey is sooooooooooooo right about the med's . I also am Hyperthyroid (and yes it's called being in remission Tam ) I was diagnosed in 2001 and go into remission well with PTU(Propylthioricil-safe to use while trying to get pregnant and while pregnant). But once i have babies I go out of remission. 3rd child I went into a thyroid storm dr. said it coudl have killed me. Thank God dh said something was wrong when i was studdering and didnt know things i should have. Testing is so important.
My cat was hyper also she used Tapazole and was tested every 6 weeks i made them do it. good to hear that all is well for now. Good luck!
