The following email was just posted on the Rebuild Lakeview board. I'd love to have one of the puppies but they're too large for may apt complex regs and I can't get to NOLA anytime soon, plus my son already has "Dune" aka the Duke of Earl [who is doing great btw!]

Subject: [rebuild_lakeview] Fwd: Lakeview puppies in 6300 Louisville
Hi,
I am just forwarding this message and don't know anything about the situation. Please contact Nancy at her posted number:
If anyone can help, please contact Nancy at
504-482-2173, 9am-5pm, and please let me know. Nancy
does not have email.
She had rescued six nursing puppies. They are now about 6-7 weeks.
She can keep two, BUT cannot keep or hold on to the other four.
Their descriptions are
1 Cream/Yellow Lab Mix male
1 Chocolate female
1 Brindle male
1 Almost white male
All will be about 50 pounds full grown.
They are getting first set of vacs today. She has dewormed and treated them
for fleas.
Feral Momma and two males are at large in the area of 6300
Louisville. Momma has an obvious prolapsed uterus and she is
reddish/blonde, possibly Golden Mix.One male seems Shepard Mix and mostly
black, the other is brindle. Neighbors are complaining. The
dogs, 4 pups and Nancy are in URGENT need of help!!!

Hope someone can help Nancy out!

I will pass this on to ARNO, but they can't take anything right now because of a Distemper outbreak at thier shelter. We have taken in over 50 animals at our shelter in the last 4 days and are way over full. Good animals are in extreme danger of being euthanized to make room.
Good Luck to this lady, but frankly I would just tell the neighbors to Kiss Her Grits. There is no ordinance about them having to remove their puppies because the neighbors don't like it.
