I have noticed that one of Biscotti's eyes have been weeping in the past few days..Ya'll know me well enough to know that I will be calling my Vet.
The discharge is clear, a bit mucousy but not green.

Re: Goopy eye
I see you are in GA...me too. The pollen aggravates my Maggie's eyes this time of year, and they are sometimes goopy in the morning. It could be allergy related?
Re: Goopy eye
It could be...we have 3 pecan trees that are coming into season, along with jasmine. My nose has been itchy for a couple days, too.
I wipe her eyes, and she is OK for a day or so. I am just going to watch her for now. Thanks for the thought!

If the discharge from the eye is liquid and clear, it's could be an allergy, but it could also be an indication of something in her eye. It could be something as simple as an eyelash or dirt, or something like that. You can buy sterile eye wash (it's just saline = salt water) at the drug store, and you could flush her eyes (gently of course) to see if you can flush out the culprit. If it continues, or the discharge thickens or becomes purulent (yellow or green) you need to get her to the vet ASAP.
