I have done tracking training and seminars for many years. Most of us cannot easily comprehend hos much capacity is in the dog ability to scent. Nice article to show evidence. I never cease to be amazed and reminded of the abilities of dogs.

Ok, I have to ask...if a dog's sense of smell is 6 million times better than a human's then why do they have to get so "up close and personal" to sniff another dog's b_ _ t ?

i guess its a matter or perfuem...some perfume that people wear smells like a dogs butt (this is a guesswork observation, not from personal experience.) but again with dogs it is a mnattrer of identity...their sniffer is greater than their eyes....Like my dog sassy she walkds with her nose to the ground, i guess she is reading her mail that has been deliverd in the last 24 hours...
