Q # 1: why did I have to log in twice?
Q # 1: why did I have to log in twice?
Sorry, but I'm a bit testy lately (see Q #2) and much as I hate to mention it, it just seems umpteen dozen "cookies" and a login is enough already. JMHO

The same thing happened to me...........I used the "Back" key to get out of Kevin's Room and the next thing I knew--I lost Kevin's Room off the index. Must be a glitch.
Or Kevin's idea of a little joke.

when you use the back button, your browser is using its best guest from local cache to display the webpage.
use the hyperlinks on the board instead of the back/forward buttons. they are at the top, and when you a viewing a topic you can see them just under the "faq" button (to return to the forum the thread is in or return to the board main page).

Jeepers...
In my case it probably was just an isolated misstep... I get this board better in Internet Explorer, but sometimes forget which browser I'm using... As I said, was kind of snappish yesterday. To be honest, though, still don't like all the cookies... just me and I should be "Counting me blessings..."
Re: Jeepers...
you should only have (at most) three cookies, and there is nothing wrong with not liking cookies....but with sites you are familiar with and know who controls them, it shouldn't be a problem.E's wrote:still don't like all the cookies
nothing sensitive to you will ever be stored there, its mostly used to track which phpbb user you are so the board is configured properly while you are logged in. all of your user data is left inside a database on the server and is not sent out in a cookie.
