It's been a LONG time since I posted, but....

Post by Susan and the girls »

I wanted to say hello to all my friends here. Life has been quite busy for me, so I don't get to hang out online a lot these days, but I wanted to reunite with you all and see how everyone is doing.

I hope at least one or two folks remember me --- I still have LOTS of kitties... Belle, Scarlett, & Daisy live inside, & SweetPea, Princess, Adolf, and Duke (and a few others who sneak around occasionally) live outside.

In addition to my kitty children, I have two HUMAN offspring now! I just have to share a picture.... hopefully it will show up. You'll see why life is so busy!

Alex is almost 23 months old, and Anna Claire is 8 weeks old. They're the joy of our lives!

I think of you often - Traci, Debbie, Davet, etc..... and hope you're all doing well! Take care of yourselves & your kitties, ok?

Hey Carolyn! I do remember you. I'm so sorry to hear about Bubba. I know you miss him. I still miss Lily.... and I'm hoping my other kitties live a very, very long time. Belle is almost 9 (so is SweetPea, my outside kitty), and Scarlett & Daisy are going on 5. (I can't believe how fat they are, too! We've got to work on that. I'll post a picture.)

I'm working just two days a week now.... I consider myself a "full-time" mommy and part-time speech therapist! I wish I could stay at home all the time, but we just can't afford that right now.

I will try to check in more often...... Take care!

Hey Traci!! I was hoping you'd see this thread & I could hear from you! How are your kitties? I remember that the last time I had a chance to check in here you had just lost a couple of your babies. How are you doing? How are the others?

Belle's bloodwork shows that her kidney values are not getting worse, so we're keeping her on the senior diet. She's doing well, although she (and Daisy) are pretty heavy. Scarlett is my only "average" sized cat that lives in the house. The outside kitties look lean & sleek...probably because they do more than lie around all day between meals....

Alex LOVES the kitties (his first word was "Daisy"). He has to sneak up to them to pet them, and then they scatter. Sometimes he gets his hands on them before they run. They've never offered to smack him, thankfully!

Here are some pictures for you. Hopefully they'll come through!

This one is Belle.....

Thanks for asking, Susan.....kitties and me are doing well. (would you believe still remodelling? )

The girls are gorgeous as always! I'm glad to hear Belle is doing so well, you're obviously doing a great job. As for the weight, perhaps try to find 10 minutes a day for exercise activity with them.

I was in Toys-R-Us yesterday and couldn't resist, I bought a radio-controlled truck to chase the cats around with. (don't worry, my cats actually love it, and it sure gets them moving  )

Traci - I just happened to be online when I heard the "click" that told me I had an email - and it was your response. How unusual! I get so little time online these days!

It's hilarious that you're going to chase the kitties with the RC truck.... My cats love that sort of thing, but I know Alex would wear it out before it did them any good. LOL I think I'm going to buy another light/laser pen. They love those things.

Alex has a "light ball" (you know the "disco" type that rotates and shows colors on the ceiling) and it drives Daisy crazy. I put it on the floor, and she chases the colors on the floor. They're nuts.
