and it sounds like you will be in your own home in time for the Holidays?!

Well...if you want to call it that...a 37 foot travel trailer It's going to be our temporary digs while we build...but we have to decide what we are going to build first! I actually won't be here for the holidays, I'm headed back to Florida to spend it with my oldest daughter. My youngest will be coming down there too. It's there first year without their father (he passed away Dec 29 last year) and I wanted to be with them for the holiday.

Our trailer delivery was delayed because of the ice storm though. So see, I did trade hurricanes for something Give me snow anyday!!

Tambrey...we are in the Roanoke/Salem area. Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Woodbridge, about 15 minutes outside of DC...I used to be able to walk to the Potomac River and sit and watch the boat docks in Maryland, but it has been so built up, I hardly recognize the place when I go back to visit...it is a shame, because they were beautiful cliffs and hills with horse farms and my friends and I used to spend all day just wandering those hills...
and the walk down to the river was so peaceful and just...wonderful...now it is off limits because it is a private golf course, if I remember right...

That's exactly what is happening in Florida and one of the reasons we left. Right now it's is still undeveloped here...and hopefully it will stay that way. It's pretty mountainous so I'm not too worried yet.
