just signed up for photobucket, thanks! Im gonna go to the dollar store and get some squirt bottles today. I cut the new kittens claws yesterday and he didnt try to get away once. I even had him layed on his back. Hes the most layed back kitten i've ever seen. I tried doing cody's claws and he didnt like it.

You have to wait till they are about 6 months old before you can neuter them

Try to engage them together in playtime, like drag a string across the floor in front of both of them or throw a ball, so they focus more on the toy than on each other and forget about hissing and such (at least that's the idea).

Good luck! :)

The kittens are beautiful, congrats. The water/squirt bottle definitely works in this household ... to the point where I only have to show it in my hands to one or two of my cats and they stop whatever it is they weren't supposed to be doing!!

I would use a nail clipper designed for trimming feline claws. They are inexpensive enough and can be found in the pet aisle of the grocery story. The blade is round which conforms precisely over the claw for a clean cut. A straight blade squishes the claw which may cause splitting and lead to infection. Be sure not to clip too close to the quick (pink) part of the claw. It contains nerves and blood, is painful for the cat and will bleed like there's no tomorrow -- ask me how I know!

I can't open the pics, but thanks all for this interesting thread. I intend to look for the clippers Cleo mentions. ATM my Q cat is doing very well... nearly integrated into the household - I'm still keeping a gate across the door to my room, mostly to keep host dogs out... Q helped raise `Eowyn the gsd and they are friends, and the host dogs are super cat friendly also, but Q doesn't know that...

Soon as I have my own 'puter back online, I will try photobucket (although have had good luck w/picuretrail for years... except it is not free  )

Congratulations on your kitties, remax. Have fun!

Beautiful - works well. I use PictureTrail - good one also. Your cats are beautiful! (I sold Real Estate years ago - tough job- lots of room for things to go wrong, but also rewarding when you sell a home to someone and they are happy with it.)

they are always red lol. Update on the kittens. They are finally getting along. Cody still plays with ollie (finally named him), but he likes it. Ollie will even chase after him. My friend cameover to see ollie, and asked if the kitten was dead because all he did was just lay in his arms and not move. He loves to be held. He has the sweetest personality. However they are beggers. Anytime im eating they will sit next to me and try to get a bite of my food. Its cute but a little annoying. Gotta love cats!
