E's - have you been reunited with Q yet?
E's - have you been reunited with Q yet?
I've been thinking about you and wondered if you'd been able to get Q to where you are?
"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself." ~ Josh Billings.
Thank you! I haven't been able to be online until today... as explained elsewhere, a rather chaotic - if very good - time here. Friday my granddaughter went to Houston on business, then on over to Baton Rouge to her dad's home. My son put little Dunebuggy at the vet's, picked up Q and met his niece in B.R. next day... they were going to meet like in Lake Charles but she found her family really needed to see her. Her Paw Paw and Maw Maw (LA term for grandparents) had their New Orleans home pretty much destroyed also... My former son-in-law is on chemo... but in 2 trips, finally gave in and took his folks down to see... it was far worse than the elders (my age) had expected... Anyway, my son got to visit with the family for the first time in years, and that is good... The two clans weren't estranged exactly but rarely saw one other in recent years...
Son had purchased a large, square "Nylabone" brand carrier for Q, and the cat did very well on the trip... L says she "flew under the radar" and got to Austin by 9:30 Sat. evening... Brought not only my survivor cat, but my computer, scanner, printer... and an Altima full of other stuff, like huge trash bags of papers and boxes of snapshots... [my upstairs did not flood, though there was nearly 10 feet of water downstairs, which stayed 9 days...] More on all this later, maybe... it is like a soap opera...
Q is very thin, but lively and healthy - shiny coat, bright eyes - he knew me and Winnie immediately; and just couldn't get enough petting.... He has a wide window in my little room and is doing fine, but ready to come out and explore... we have to wait a day or so more, however, as there is just too much going on here and if somethig should happen to my miraculous survivor kitty now after all he went through, I just don't think I could stand it. Unfortunately I am claustrophobic... but doing okay also and definitely COUNTING MY BLESSINGS More details as things begin to simmer down a bit here...
A week from today I expect to have the iMac online (that is, I cannot do it myself, but someone here can) then look out, y'all!

Maybe we should do a seriocomic sit com instead of the book...
