Some of us decided that it is impossible for the dog to be having a relaxed expression under the apparent view. Also, those metal spikes show absolutely no sign of having penetrated - no blood, fluid of damaged tissue from the larger barb at the end. Just a very cruel hoax with this horrendous picture. Hard to forget. I`m sure even vets would be finding this kind of injury difficult to accept. hope I never have to see something like this in any of my animals, although I`ve been having to poison rats lately. At least 20 gone so far. They invaded when a barn nearby burned dow\nn. They lost 30 cows. Another vet horror to deal with.

I aagree the photo may be doctored...but very rarelly on the hooks that i took out showed any blood but then they were not real recent, it took up to an hour or days to get the pets in for removal..hadsno idea how long the penguin had been hooked and the kid involved was just fresh on the beach so that was bloody...but i agree the photo does look doctored
