Kitty goes to the bathroom in house, please help!
My cat Nemo is a few months old. When she was younger I had a litter box for her, but she didn't really like it. Now that she's older, I want her to go to the bathroom outside like my older cat does. However, Nemo will not go to the bathroom outside. She will go outside to play for hours and then come back in just to go to the bathroom on the floor and then back outside. I tried putting the litter box outside to trick her, but she won't even look at it. I don't want to mess with litter boxes in the house because we don't have much money to buy cat litter. I've never had a problem with a cat who wouldn't go to the bathroom outside and I don't know what to do. Any help would be welcome. Please help! Thank you!

Indoors ONLY ...please read the link in it's entirety. By forcing your cats outside, you are knowingly putting them at risk for numerous outdoor hazards and dangers. Cat litter is relatively cheap, and your cats' safety, health and longevity depend on you to do right by them by keeping them indoors only.

even if you do decide to let your cat outdoors, you still have to have a litter box in the house. owning a pet means you're responsible for all of their needs, including food, regular medical care, kitty litter, as well as keeping them entertained and feeling loved. if you can't afford kitty litter, you can't afford to have a cat. the cat needs to have a litter box that is always in the same spot and clean with frequently changed litter, so that she will know that is her place to go when she's in the house.
