My street dogs

Post by Ash »

The pictures are taken at the tailor's shop where they hang out.

Roni says 'Hi!'

And this is Roni's best friend Bobby. He always rolls over when he sees me to get a belly rub.

Ash always brings me chewies!

Roni is the one with the recurrent skin problem. It has been much better lately and I treat her only once a week now, to keep it under control. I took this next picture from her back, but you can't really see it well.)

Ash- you are special to do that and I think that all the love you give you are getting back from those great dogs. I can tell by the looks on their faces.

Yes, they do love me and get so excited when I come. And there are more than just these two. I can not feed them all, in fact, another nice family goes out of their way to feed about a dozen streetdogs in that area once a day - boiled chicken skin with rice, they can't afford anything better, but better than scrabs out of the rubbish bin.

I go once in a while to see if they are alright (anybody ill?), and give them some treats. Not all of them will eat commercial dog food, they look at me surprised, "What is THAT??" Lol! But the two pictured above like it. It's always hard to leave them again, they look after me as I drive away, tail wagging ... Once I was not well, and I had send someone with some dog food to these two. He said, they looked at the food, then ran up and down the street to look for me everywhere.

I wish I could take them all home! They live a dangerous life on the streets. I never know if I will see them again (a lot of street dogs get poisoned). :( Roni was once poisoned with strichnin. Only because the tailor called me immediately and I was able to get a vet to come (first two said it's hopeless anyway and refused to come, third one came), she pulled through, on IV all night in my home (seperate room). She's a very sweet and friendly dog.
