First of all, homeopathy is useless and is not going to help the situation one bit. You need to get your kitty seen by a competent conventional vet who is familiar with and experienced with major wounds like this. Sloughed skin and tissue, dead tissue, need to be surgically removed in order for new tissue growth to occur. Grafting may be necessary, but this may require several operations to be successful. Your kitty needs proper wound care and management, and needs to be on appropriate antibiotics. Antibiotics are necessary to combat severe infection that can enter the bloodstream and be fatal.

You can find pet carts at this link, scroll toward the bottom where it notes Orthopedic Supplies, and particularly, the link for "K-9 Carts", which also makes carts for cats.

See a new, conventional vet immediately, your kitty needs PROPER wound care by a vet who knows what he's doing, this is a very involved procedure and can take weeks to treat....don't rely on homeopathy, it's NOT going to help the problem, the wounds need to be kept properly clean, debrided (removal of dead tissue), bandage care needs to be specific, and topical or oral antibiotics are a necessary part of treatment.

Sweetie, are you keeping him indoors? I know in India that's not a common thing but given his condition and the state most streets and gardens are in (stones, garbage), indoors is a must in his case.

Where in India are you? I'm also in India, I could ask a vet here about carts too, if you want.

You would probably have better chances in Mumbai to find a cart than elsewhere, I guess.

Btw, great you are taking care of him! There are not many in India who will accept cats as pets in their homes and also are willing to spend money on vets!

Did you try the link Traci provided? You probably will have to order something from Europe or elsewhere.

I'm often on a German message board, I will ask one of the animal lovers there if they know a good manufacturer.

Will do that and get back to you

I don't know what kind of homeopathy you are using to treat this, but it is NOT going to work. You can't simply expect that sloughing skin is going to prmote new healthy tissue, because the sloughed and dead skin/tissue needs to be removed surgically.....if any dead or sloughing skin is left to remain, you are risking further spread of infection to surrounding tissues, and even to the bloodstream. The dead skin needs to be removed and attempted to be pulled together as much as possible with surgical techniques in order to granulate new, healthy tissue. Also, proper cleaning and antibiotic approach to the wounds needs to be specific in order to control infection and to prevent the spread of infection.

Please see a conventional vet ONLY, one who has experience with serious open wounds like this. It is ESSENTIAL that PROPER wound care is given to even accomplish healing.

Hi Sweetie!

This is the German link for Doggon Wheels and they are saying on that page that they build the cart according to the animals weight and measurement. But they are expensive - 225 Euro plus postage.

http://www.doggon-de.com/products.html

They also offer to look for used carts for you which are 20-30% cheaper than new ones.

If you want help (I'm German) just pm me and I will help you ordering one.
