Magic

Post by Tini »

The other night I was laying in bed and my cat got up in the bed with me as usual. I was petting her and noticed something on her side. I turned the light on and began searching through her fur to see if it was a tick. I didn't see anything, but it is a small bump about the size of a bug bite. However, it doesn't seem to be going away yet. I have not noticed a change in size. My mom said we are going to wait a little bit and see if it gets any bigger. Should I be worried?...cause I am.

Yes, you should be woried. It could be an abcess that is festering deeper beneath the skin. Those can be dangerous and need to be treated by a vet. Get her seen right away.

Could be an abcess as Ash said...or it could be a flea bite I have one cat with flea allergy and if she gets even one flea on her it will cause numerous skin eruptions. They feel like large mosquito bites and eventually she will scratch bite and lick them until they are raw. I'd have the vet check it out just to be on the safe side.
