Why dogs don't live so long. Wisdom from a child....

A young boy of 4 had to go through the trauma of putting his sick dog down. His mother was concerned about how it affected him and was trying to help him. She told him that she didn't know why our pets didn't live so long, but they just didn't.
He turned his tearful face to her and said. "But Mommy, I know why they don't live so long."

Surprised she asked "You Do?"

"Yes." He replied, "The Priest said we are put on this earth to become better people and it takes a lifetime for many to become better."

Dumbfounded that he had got so much from the serman at church she listened as he went on.

"But our dogs are better to start with so they don't have to stay as long."
