Well....

We have gone through the foster/adoption classes and are certified there, but had some issues with the crazy/weird licensing agent and are currently working with the head of DHS and the head of the Foster division to get her mess straightened out...sooo...no new human arrivals any time soon :( our certificate is valid for two years, so when we ever think we might be ready to go forward with the process, we will contact them and they will put us with a different agency...

Pets...we have feral kittens outside that I would love to be catching and training...actually, we did catch and tame two and sent them to a good home...we are still working on the rest!! We can get a few steps closer each time :)

Thanks for asking...

I was actually asking about Sammie and Sophia.........I didn't realize you were attending foster/adoption classes ~ that's great. We attended classes 13 yrs. ago and adopted our daughter through an (international) program.
It's a huge amount of paperwork and red tape...so I totally sympathize.

HAHAHAHA....I guess we are sooo used to them now, I did not even think of them as "new arrivals" WOW...you got alot more of an answer than you expected!!

Yes, they are doing great...

Sophia comes down almost every day to play with Sammie, and they go for walks together...Mom got Sophia a crate to train her for the times when Mom is not home...so far Sophia has managed to shove her way through an expanding tension plastic gate and chew her way through the wooden one that mom put across the basement stairs to keep her from going down there...she does this when Mom leaves her home alone...
plus, with going to be having her knee surgery soon, Mom wants her used to the crate before she goes for surgery, so she can keep her in it as needed during recovery...

Sammie loves to love and give LOTS of kisses and gets along well with all of our cats, even so far as to lick them and also let them give him baths...gotta get pics of that sometime!
And every Thursday he comes with us to Teen Bible Study as the leaders are the ones who own Cuddles, another playmate...Sammie and Cuddles run circles through the house and around the table and out the back door sounding like a herd of elephants!!

Thanks for asking!!

I'm glad to hear they're doing great! The crate will be a big help for your Mom. Crystal really needed the crate because she would get herself into all kinds of trouble (hers is enormous to accommodate her) and now she loves it.
I never have to coax her into it, she goes happily inside whenever we have to leave the house.
And when I'm away from home for a lengthy period of time, I don't have this vision of her eating my furniture anymore.
