I LOVE Bartering!!

Post by Tambrey »

Well, we just got back after 3 hours at the vet's house...DH worked on his computer...after he got it back messed up from the "computer shop"...I put that in quotes because it is an actual computer repair shop and ISP, but they have no idea what they are doing up there!!!!

Anyways...computer all better, and Majik goes in to get neutered Monday morning :D

As I said, I love bartering :)

oh I know it...but as long as he keeps needing help on his computer, we get "free" services! He is thinking of just getting a new one, and DH will transfer the CDburner and newer hardware over to the new computer, plus add the HDD as a secondary drive and the vet can use that one to save his files on...

When we were there lastnight, his wife introduced me to their newest family member...a tiny little adorable gray kitten...with no tail :( He was brought to the vet by someone who found him in the road (his littermates were dead  ) but this one was still alive, but pretty banged up...the vet dressed his wounds, picked alot of gravel and debris from wounds, plus he has "Strawberry wounds" and fur worn off from the "accident" (we are guessing the litter got tossed out on the roadside) and while the vet was trying to repair the tail, which was really torn up, it fell off onto the table...so he just finished cleaning up that injury and closed his back end up minus the tail...so he just has a little stub back there which seems to be healing nicely...
the baby seems to be doing fine, and holding his own against the other two cats, and the dog has become its mother...every time I picked up the little one, then put it back down, she had to come sniff it and give it a few licks...

His wife said this is their second cat who injured a tail from being left on a road, or tossed from a car...and she often wonders in this small town who could be so cruel...is it even someone she sits by in church, or a kid she teaches in school...it is horrible to even think about, but worse to think it might be someone you know!!
