Oh Marty, good luck tomorrow....keep us posted. I think you'll feel better after your visit. (You were lucky to get in so quickly~)

Well, she has retinal degeneration and subcapsular cataracts, and there is nothing that can be done. She was given antiinflammatory eye drops to hopefully control the cataracts, which could lead to glaucoma at some point. I do feel better knowing that she is not in pain (yet), and am glad we went. She will need to be monitored a few times per year.
Poor girl was scared, as she had no idea where she was....there are steps going down to the front door, and she couldn't see them and fell. Mommy is going to have to be more alert to things like that. She does well around the house, though.

Oh Marty, I'm sorry to hear this. My sister's dog lost one eye to glaucoma a few years ago and now has an implant. Watch out for any sudden changes in the eye's appearance (bulging). They do adjust though and she'll stop bumping into things. Poor thing, give her a hug from all of us.

Marty, I'm sorry to hear this! Outside your house you will have to be her guide now. Good she has you!
