Lost Buttercup

Hi Traci,
I had talked with you off and on about my marmalade kitty Buttercup.
She had actually done better and gained weight since Jan. Then she got an UTI, antibiotics for 2 months. Then 3 weeks ago, she didnt eat and drink for just a day. I took her in - her chronice renal failure had gotten worse. 2 days later her K was out of control and she seized. At that point at 6am the vet called me and I went in to make the choice of letting her go. It was peaceful.
I miss her dearly. Marlene

It is obvious you loved her very much and were devoted to her care. I hope you can find peace in your heart that she knew you did your best for her...your love will always be with her, and hers with you...

Thank you Traci and Tambrey for your comforting thoughts. It helps !When your cat gets to be 16 yrs, you would think I'd know that she wont be around forever, but it is hard. I am going to start the process now of finding a new little girl to take care of-hoping for a kitten while I,m young enough to be around for her. Will let you know how I make out.
I grew up with dogs-- I,ll have Fritzi ( dachshund) also waiting for me at the bridge . It'll be nice to have my dog and kitty together- I think Buttercup was almost as big as Fritzi-in size but not weight.
