Petastic
Petastic
Has anyone tried this product?...I have heard from others that it works really well...I cannot find it in a store nearby, so will have to order it online, and am just curious about it...
thanks
thanks
It's an enzymatic cleaner for pet odors. I'll have to go elsewhere to get this straight, but Nature's Miracle and Petastic are similar...one was sold to the other, and something changed.
OK...the old formula of Nature's Miracle is now used in Petastic. The new Nature's Miracle is a different formula (new owner's bought the name only).

Re: Petastic
I use Nature's Miracle, but heard about petastic and was jsut curious of one works better than another, or whatever...
Re: Petastic
From what I understand from others, Petastic works better than the new Nature's Miracle. I can't say from experience, though (whew!).
Well maybe I can....when my son took Louie, he was having accidents until we got the fence secured enough to let him out safely. The new Nature's Miracle did seem to help control the odor, but I noticed it has left a light stain on the carpets....which is what I have heard others say. Petastic seems to clean up better.

Re: Petastic
hhmmm...I may have to get some to try...I have noticed that the Nature's Miracle has not completely removed all the peepee odors from Oliver (the beagle who is not housebroken) and I now have a couple of cats who think that is the place to go...grrrrrrrrr...so I really need to find something to get rid of ALL the odor...even as soon as I catch one in the act and clean it up right away, there is still a lingering odor...
and with hot humid days, I can detect a slight odor...but then...as gross as it sounds, I will get on the floor on my hands and knees to sniff around and make sure I got all the palces that Oliver (or now a cat) has gone...

Re: Petastic
According to their site info...
"You have been using Petastic® for the last 23 years without knowing it until now. We created and manufactured the original formula for Natures Miracle®.
"In 2003 our relationship with Natures Miracle® came to an end. Soon after we launched Petastic®, to ensure that you could still get the original Natures Miracle® formula.
"*Nature's Miracle® is a registered trademark of Eight In One, Inc. Venus Laboratories, Inc. is the creator and owner of the formulations formerly supplied to Eight In One for its Nature's Miracle® brand. Venus Laboratories, Inc is now marketing the formulation under the brand name Petastic Stain & Odor Remover.
Venus Laboratories,Inc. is not affiliated with Eight In One."
I'm confused, in another part of the site, they say....
"*Nature's Miracle® is a registered trademark of Pet's 'N People, Inc. Venus Laboratories, Inc. is the creator and owner of the formulations previously sold to Pet's 'N People for its Nature's Miracle® products. Venus Laboratories, Inc. is not affiliated with Pet's 'N People Inc."
So, evidently, if you want Nature's Miracle, it would be best to use Petastic (probably reformulated). On the other hand, if the "new" formula of Petastic leaves stains, as Marty says, I'm not sure I want to use it.
Sigh, sneaky buggers weren't they?

Re: Petastic
yeah really...I missed that on their site...no wonder the nature's miracle does not seem to work as well as it used to...
actually, I think Marty said the Nature's Miracle leaves a slight stain...and Petastic seems to clean up better...
darn..I wish there was a store around here that sold it...I hate havingt o pay $7.00 shipping...
WAIT...there are some in Minnesota...I wonder how far into Minnesota...the border is only an hour or so away from where I live!!...I will have to check that out and maybe road trip this weekend!

Re: Petastic
Maybe ask your local pet store (petmsart if possible), if they are going to carry Petstatic and when to expect it to be on the shelves.
Funny, I never heard anything about a change. I'm assuming the "other" company is still marketing Nature's Miracle and will continue to, but I wonder if they can retain the "proprietary" ingredients that Venus Laboratories claims they have registered, trademarked?
