thank you ladies...it was hard to not be peeking out the window at them today...and I saw momma briefly running through the hedges at the side of the house...and I kept thinking I heard little kitten mews, but when I stopped to really listen, I think it was just my mind...

and her sister today was very vocal when I went out...like she really wanted to tell me something...I wish I spoke cat!!...however, I did get close enough to her to touch her tail...she turned and gave me dirty look, but did not run...so maybe we are at the first stages of trust...after almost a year...

I will keep working with them and trying to gain trust...

Don't dismiss what you thought you heard...it's very possible you heard kitten mews, and it would be worth it to quietly investigate to see if you can find them.

I will be on th elookout for them...it is a very nice day outside so after I get done with my daily chores inside, I am going out to do some garden work...

hopefully I can keep an eye on momma or hear some little voices...
