They hve been after something that is on their back morch now since about 4:30 this morning...it is under the cabinet...they ahve drug out lost dishes and all sorts of stuff...and are still wanting to get whatever is hiding back in the far corner under it... I really do not relish the thought of going out there to feed them and have some huge rat or something run out and into my house they have been known to catch a rat from out back and bring it up to the porch...not sure what is out there, since the doggy door is far enough off the bottom of the door that most critters should NOT be able to get through it!!!...
they have spilled their water in an anttempt to get whatever it is, so I know I need to go out there...
gotta be brave...gotta be brave...that's all there is to it...
AARRGGHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!
I don't want to go feed the dogs!!
Re: I don't want to go feed the dogs!!
If they are that wound up, they probably aren't interested in eating. I would let it be, until they scare out whatever is there....
Re: I don't want to go feed the dogs!!
They have been quiet for a while now...so I ventured out...nothing ran out...WHEW!!!...so they are fed and watered and stuff theyd rug out picked up...they are their food and I have not heard from them since...
Hopefully it managed to get out on its own...whatever it was!!

It couldn't be one of the cats?? My dogs go crazy when they see a cat outside even though they live with two.
Re: I don't want to go feed the dogs!!
nooo...the cats tend to stay away from the dogs kennel...my indoor cats are indoor only, and the back porch door is always kept locked...and feral cats even know to stay away from the dogs' territory...
I do worry about the cats though...because we did have one that I think committed suicide by going in with them...she had been sickly and could not care for her kittens, they are the ones I hand raised last year this time...and after she looked at them one last time, not even an hour later, I heard a commotion out back, and found her in with them...
I am thinking it was a mouse or rat they chased up from somewhere...UGH!
