Thanks for all the hlep. I do have a question now that I have researched the OsteobiFlex a bit. There is regular, double and triple strength. Would it be better to give her a stronger one and maybe a lower dosage since there are some differences in the ingredients or should she not have the other? What strength would I give her of either the regular or the stronger ones? She is between 38 - 40 pounds and guessing her age she would be within a year or so of around 12 yrs. old. Thanks.

I don't recommend self-dosing....discuss it with your vet....tell him which product you're interested in, he can advise a starting dose of the mg amount he feels is best for your dog in particular.

It's even cheapet at Sam's Club. WalMart has the best price except of the warehouse stores. As for dosing - read the Cosequin site - the dosing is the same - start high and taper off. Cosequin is also a very good product that is made for dogs, but it contains a form of Vitamin C that some dogs can't tolerate (they throw it up). My only experience with it was with Mickey, who did not tolerate it, that's why I tried the OsteoBiflex. Generics didn't work for him, just the OsteoBiflex. I am convinced that the addition of the nutroceuticals helped him through the last several years of his life. He was never cured', but obviously much better then before I started treatment
