Well, here's the gal that started it all.

There are 2 pics so please hit the next button. And hit the pictures button if you want to see them all.) Ive TNRed all but a few in this colony. And Ive only even seen Big Momma a couple times. Very shy & trap-smart.

We will have good weather next week, warm enough for returns, so I am resuming TNR on Monday. Im hoping to stay ahead of kitten season. There's one guy out here with an injury, so he's 1st, then Im hoping to get Momma spayed finally.

She is very pretty...our Friendly is black and white also...she is one of two feral cats who are great mommas...luckily, they bring their babies to us and we can hand raise them and get them to good homes...but Friendly and Snickers are elusive enough that we could never get them spayed...
Also, they seem to only have 2 or 3 in a litter, and keep them well hidden for the first 2-3 months, then bring them to us...
I guess they know we will take it from there and get them good homes...

She nosed around the trap for about 10 minites last night, but didnt go in. (I use a prop-stick now that Im down to the last few that need altered, so they can go in & out without springing the trap. That way I wont retrap anyone who's already done. When one goes in that needs fixed I just yank the stick.) So Big Momma is still out there, Ill try for her again tonight but I did get another who's at the vet right now. Ill try for Momma again tonight.

Thanks Cleo, actually I am the one who is blessed with the privalege of caring for these amazing creatures. Its a hard road, but I wouldnt trade it for anything.

Now that Ive been observing her I think Big Momma is pregnant. And she hasnt been around the last day or 2. She may be off having kittens.
