Wonderfully caring, compassionate doctors and staff. I have not had a bad experience here. Prices are very reasonable. This is the clinic that local zoos and nature conservancies use. I always go to Dr. Saulsbury, but the others at that clinic are great. I have not been to the Statium Drive clinic. Voted one of Siouxland's Choice 2004 Winner for veterinary category!!

I no longer live near this vet but she is great. Her name is DR. Andrea Lerner . Her practice is called Just for cats. She is located in Folsom PA. In Delware county. She has a small practice but was supossed to expand. I am driving 10 hrs just to have my new kitten altered there. Good luck.

Pacific Avenue Veterinary Center (AAHA accredited)
10234 Pacific Ave.
Tacoma, WA

This establishment has about 6 vets plus a very capable staff of technicians and assistants. I used this place for the last 11-12 years in connection with my previous cat and always received excellent care.

Dr. Gintz is the director, and he was often the one seeing my cat.

I no longer go there, mainly because it is too far away for me and my new cat.

in somewhat of the following format :

Lombard Animal Clinic
Dr Ronald Kipnis
Lombard, Illinois
1 vet (staff 4)
Hours vary but open late Monday and Friday night till 8pm. Usually close at 6pm but will make exceptions.

I knew this vet was good when we had to bring our cat Sammy in during the week and they stayed open till 7pm to have us come in. The doctor then spent over an hour with us explaining what was about to happen. They kept him two days and then sent Sammy home with detailed instructions.

Independence Animal Hospital

300 S Noland Rd
Independence, MO 64050

Dr R.L. Becker
Dr M. D. Wingert

Hours: M-F 8-6 Sat 8-12

and as I type this I realize that their weekday hours just expanded to 6pm.

I have called at 5 minutes to closing because my Maine Coon has had a last minute illness, and they waited for us to arrive. They are exceptionally busy, so you are usually in and out quickly, but I've never had any questions go unanswered, they are great, and VERY Low cost. Bear had to stay over night for his UTI and for an over night stay that turned into a weekend stay and a cathiter we spent only about $120. That was our most costly visit of all times. Walk in any time and they will help your pet.

The only one thing I dont agree with is that they don't give the FIP vacination (the one that goes in your cats nose) They dont believe its necissary for regular house cats. Nor do they auto deworm new kittens, they only believe in deworming if the pet has actually been seen with worms either via the bumb, feces or yacking them up. (I can't say about heart worms for dogs though... only kitty worms)

They are very low cost. That is very important to me as well as care for my kitties.

Jenn, you need to know that any of the FIP vaccines are controversial, they have not established a rate of efficacy which therefore is generally not advised to give. The only time FIP vaccines should be considered is in situations where catteries or breeders are experiencing severe losses from an FIP infected cattery, or if an owner has suffered a loss where the kitty was tested positive for FIP through a titer, which are not always reliable (titers can show exposure to a coronavirus, but that does not mean it is confirmative for FIP).

If you meant FELV or FIV intranasals instead, I do not advise the intranasal vaccines....they can often cause upper respiratory infections and I believe the injectable vaccines are more reliable.

Prestige Animal Clinic
Gilbert, AZ

Dr. Peters is a great vet- very knowledgable, and her primary focus is cats although she does treat dogs as well. No emergency services. She works with a lot of rescue groups and is quite competent in her surgical skills. She did all of my boys' neuters plus a lumpectomy on one of them. I felt completely comfortable with her expertise and was sad that I had to find a new vet when I moved.

In Houston, TX (the galleria area to be more exact) -

we use the Cat Doctor, Dr. Oeben. She's a cat only vet, very friendly, and willing to help (also very fair about costs!).

Pet Medical and Surgical Center
Cactus Animal Hospital
3254 E. Cactus Road (Squaw Peak and the 51 Freeway)
Phone 602-992-7600
Fax 602-494-9329

Dr. Charles Pullen, DVM, MS

Denistry, Surgery, and everything else.

Wonderful and compassionate staff lead by Dr. Charles Pullen. This man is absolutely amazing...he cares for our animals as much as we do. He's performed several surgeries on my cats over the years, saved one's life twice. Money is no object for me when it comes to my cats and his prices are extremely reasonable. I truly believe his wonderful care has given our cats many more years with us as evidenced by their age (19 year old, 17 year old and a 12 year old).

The hours of operation are 7am to 7pm 6-days a week and Dr. Pullen sees every patient that comes in the door. He's become very popular as his waiting room is absolutely packed every day.

Dr. Pullen is about to move his practice to a huge facility (Pet Campus) in North Phoenix in early 2006.

Veterinarians To Cats
Roanoke, Virginia
3 vets (Connie Canode, Kevin Britt and Kimberly Jessup) not sure of the staff but it is very adequate
8-5 m-f and 8-12 sat

I spoke with one of the staff before we relocated to the area and was immediately impressed with them. I've seen both Drs Canode and Britt and was impressed with their knowledge and their treatment of my cats. So far they have been prompt and thorough at each visit.
