Cold Weather Cat

I have a long hair and she loves the out doors. I inherited this cat so I don't know all their is to know about cats. Last night she wanted to go out on the porch but didn't want to come in when I went to bed. I made her a box filled with old cloths that is away from the wind and put it on the porch. The temperature went down to the low 30's or upper 20's. She slept all night out in the open, this morning she seemed to be ok. At what temperature should I bring her in or is she ok at all temperatures.

Just as with humans, pets cannot withstand the weather elements..so when you know it's in the 30's, cold and blistery, you know you don't want your cat feeling the same thing. Freezing is at 32° F, in which you want all pets inside, but even the 40-degree temperatures can be cold.

Please, keep your cats Indoors ONLY..they will be safer, happier, and will live longer.

If you are referring to your cats you posted about earlier, since they are older cats and have been suffering health problems, you cannot risk the outdoor concerns for them. Keep them indoors only please. You can provide a safe window with a kitty condo by it so they can enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, birds etc, but do ensure the open window has safe and secure screens.

Yes, this is the cat I posted early about. Winnie went to the eye doctor and I am treating her eye. Also giving her Lycine. Going to take Gabbie to the vet this week. Just paid the vet bills for Winnie
