Dishwashers and cat bowls...

Do you think it's safe to wash my own dishes in the dishwasher with my cat bowls at night? Is that sanitary? I was thinking since the water gets very hot it would be okay.

I don't have a dishwasher, but I still put everything in the sink in only hot water together...then as soon as it is cool enough to put my hands in, I wash it all up...cat dishes, people dishes...all the same :)
