I told my son to go bring in Oliver, because it ahs been raingin outside...we put him out front on a chain to do his thing, but the latch was not secure, and when we went to get him, he was gone
It has been raining since lastnight, and still is...hubby took the Malibu, I took the Firebird, and my son put on his boots and went looking out in the back fields...no such luck...
I saw hubby asking some kids who werw walking if they saw him, and they had a while before, but when hubby drove that road, Oliver wa sno where in sight...We figured in the rain, he could be hiding anywhere...
Then, I saw a dog down another alley standing at attention like he was watching something, so I drove that way, and there he was...a muddy wet mess running up and down the dirt road between houses...
He saw the car, I called for him, and he ran between houses to another alley....I gotg back in the car and drove around to that one, where he was back at the fence by that HUGE dog...when I called his n ame, he immediately crouched down, reverting back to his abused days...poor guy...I wsas so happy to see him, I gather him up and hugged him...wet muddy fur and all...hubby and son (who ahd sicne gotten into the car with hubby) happened by and saw us, so my son gathered him into an old coat and held him on his lap on the way home...
We are all four muddy as all get out...coats need washed before school and work tomorrow...bagths all around...and we go bowling in 4 hours...LOL...
What a day...but I am glad Oliver is back home...and I think he is too
Well, we just had fun in the mud!

It was....and the really scary thing is that he has to cross a highway where 18 wheelers barrela along all day and night...
But we sure are glad he is home safe now...he is even enjoying his kennel!...
