ok.. last time when chloe had diahrea.. she only had some traces of blood in small droplets. our vet said her digestive system is still develping so it's normal to see small amt of blood here and there. then the vet gave us Amoxi-drop to give chloe, cuz the vet thought she might had an infected colon.
well, we gave her that for a week and a half till there were no signs of blood. but then after that we stop giving the amoxi-drop to her and then on monday and today, chloe had her regular poo.. then moments later.. she's on the wee wee pad pooing out blood (quarter sized amount).
i did some searches on google.. and it might be IBD (Infected Bowel Disease) that have symptoms of diahrea and blood. IBD may also be caused by Giardia as well.
at first we thought it could be she's stressed but after being with us for 2 weeks and we give her a lot of love and play.. she's still having these symptoms. now i'm worried.
i'm hoping to get some more info before going into the vet, because last time i brough chloe in.. he just said.. the likelihood of her getting Giardia is very slim. but after my search, i found out that 70% of the puppies have risk of having Giardia from drinking regular water.
can someone help? anyone had the same experiences before?

Re: Need Advice: Chloe is pooing blood
Is there possibly another vet in town you could take her to for a second opinion? I think if I were you, I would be getting fed up with this one by now!!
Hopefully Traci or davet will be along soon with more technical/medical advice...but in the meantime, I would call around or ask friends for referrals of another vet...
Good luck...

actually there are a couple of other ones in my area, but they seem to be fully booked. right now, we've squeezed chloe into our vet for tomorrow night.
we've only been to this vet twice, so i can't honestly say that he's a bad vet or not. i know they are very busy and have many customer whom goes there.
actually i found a thread from Shelley about her Oliver's symptoms. it seems like it's kinda like chloe's. so i'm just hoping that it's just food allergy or something simple.

I too think it may be time for a second opinion from a new vet. It could also be time for a new fecal or, better yet, a culture.
Has she recieved her first vaccination boosters yet?

Traci,
the vet gave us a little pill to give chloe when she became 8 weeks old. the vet told us to give her that pill a week after her deworming shot.

I think you're referring to deworming, I am referring to vaccination (parvo, distemper, etc)
