Attempt at dog portraiture tonight...

Post by TheSkeptic »

I attempted to make portraits of the dogs tonight, with varying degrees of success. First a couple of pictures of dogs receiving treats tonight.

In the first picture if you look close you will find 12 dogs. Prissy is too old and dignified to partake of such packs unless it is a particularly special treat. She prefers to have her treat brought to her as she reclines on the sofa.

Image

In the second pic some of the dogs have recieved their treats and have left to enjoy it. The remainder cluster around awaiting their turn not so patiently.

Image

Now for the portraits presented in alphabetical order. Ack I just realized I am missing Apache! Sorry girl I will get you tomorrow. Bernie ends up being number one by default.

Image

Coco is next. She was one of my more difficult subjects.

Image

Then Dottie who is older than Prissy, but who hasn't been here as long.

Image

Ebony was another who did not cooperate as well as I would have liked.

Image

Ginger cooperated very well for a change.

Image

Inky poses very well.

Image

Ivory also poses well at times.

Image

Mr. Dawg always wants to please.

Image

Pea Pod is another who likes to please most of the time.

Image

Prince is very photogenic and another easy dog to pose.

Image

Prissy was tired and just wanted to be left alone tonight.

Image

Sweet Pea thought the camera was a treat or chew toy and was quite excited when I tried to get close to take her picture.

Image

To see my missing Apache, look at teh dog closest to the stove in the first group picture.

Great pics, Skeptic! Apache's was worth posting seperate- she's beautiful. But, I have to admit, good old Mr Dawg has stolen my heart. Not only does he look an awful lot like Mick, he has that same desire to always please. That's got to be the sweetest picture you've ever posted of Prissy. Such a Grand Dame!

Were you just making changes in your picture site, or was someone lessing around there?!

I saw Bernie as a plant, then Coco was a red Cobra car, and I think it was Ginger became a Fors emblem...and somewhere along the way one of the dogs became a young woman in a red dress...and well, Apache...was a man and woman dressed in Alpine like gard standing with those big pipe horns they blow...LOL...

Weird stuff happening....

But they are now back to normal...LOL....

What are they doing to my poor doggies! ... I am glad I didn't see that (Except maybe the pretty girl in the red dress.)

I don't know...but I came to read your reply...and now the pack has become a watch...and the picture of the pack is further down...Bernie became a folded dollar bill in someones hand...ginger became the second pack picture...Prince is currently a dude on a dirtbike...And Apache must be in Venice, because I see buildings with a canal running down the middle...

I even scanned MY computer for a virus after seeing the pics changing lastnight...but it came up clean...

hhmmm....too weird!!

Tambrey, if you see that again, left-click your mouse, choose >Properties, then copy and paste the image's url into a new browser, this should take you to the proper image url (at least to determine Skeptic's image host is not screwing something up)

And if it happens again when you come back to the images here, either refresh/reload your browser or clear your cache.
