Yikes....no wonder her nose is sore!
I'm trying not to laugh, but I'm getting a mental vision.
Anyway, so I'm assuming this stuff is similar to packaging tape, I know that stuff is sticky. And it would make sense that nearly any tape would take off kitty's peach-fuzz in an instant.

Re: Clawing
Speaking of tape...we laughed until we cried one night...it was Christmas and somehow one of the cats got some regular tape on the bottom of her hind foot...she took a step, then would stop, lift her leg straight up in the air behind her, then proceed to shake the living daylights out of it, trying to remove the tape...after a moment of that, she would start to walk, only to find it was still there, and she would stop and shake all over again...
We eventually were able to get it off of her foot, but not until she gave us a good laugh and we could calm down enough to get her and remove it...

Re: Clawing
Hi Beth ... thanks for asking, my gang is doing well. Everyone is vaccinated, domesticated, regulated and spayed/neutered. I'm still working on trapping a few outside ferals for the works as well.
You mentioned covering the bottom of your couch with cardboard. I ripped up a few old sheets and stapled them taut to the bottom of my couches. That netting stuff that's usually there was pretty much torn up by my Keeks & Molly but when the kittens arrived, it became non-existant. I'd find them underneath and up inside the bottom of the couch and need to put a stop to that before someone got hurt. Of course, now they are grown and don't fit underneath but still .... Post an updated picture of Nanook over in Debbie's Cloud when you get the chance. I'd love to see how much she's grown.
Back to the initial post in this thread, I'm hoping Fiyero will come back and let us know how he is doing with the clawing situation.

Re: Clawing
The funny thing about her nose is that it is only one side that is irritated so when she gets silly, one side is the normal shade of bright pink that it gets when she plays and the other side is bright red. At least it does not seem to bug her. Believe me, I have been laughing myself silly over it.
Cleo, I have two recent pictures of Nanook on my picturetrail. www.picturetrail.com/klondike They are from late November. I did Dennis' guitar class so she is posing with my silly Liberace's guitar that I made from clear glass. The spots picture is from the same photo session and I am using it as my avatar at Glass Campus. I have some from last week in my camera, but have not downloaded them yet [I bought a new computer with my year end bonus so everything is in transition.] As you can tell, she has gotten quite big and pudgy. In fact, the vet commented on how much fat she found when they spayed her. Guess we get to go on a diet together. It won't be much of a change for her since she already does not get human food or wet food, almost never gets treats, and constantly runs around like a wild beastie.

Beth ... WOW, did she ever grow! That tail is gorgeous! She looks great. She's truly blessed to have you.
Your guitar is cool too and I'll probably continue this message to you at WC as we're getting off the cat track here. Plus I caught your comment in the "mysterious board" thread and wanted to know what that's all about.

Re: Clawing
Thanks!!! While they could be sisters, they are unrelated and, unfortunately, never knew each other. Nanook, a/k/a Extra Spot, also has an extra spot.
