How to Wrap a Present with Kitties in the House

HOW TO WRAP PRESENTS WITH KITTIES IN THE HOUSE

1. Gather presents, boxes, paper, etc. in middle of living room floor.
2. Get tape back from kitten.
3. Remove scissors from older cat's mouth.
4. Open box.
5. Take kitten out of box.
6. Remove tape from older cat's tail fur.
7. Take ribbon away from kitten.
8. Put present in box.
9. Remove present from kitten's claw.
10. Put back in box after removing kitten from box.
11. Take ribbons from older cat & sit on them.
12. Remove kitten from box & put on lid.
13. Remove tape from older cat's paw.
14. Unroll paper.
15. Take kitten OFF box.
16. Cut paper being careful not to cut kitten's foot or nose that is
getting in the way as it "helps".
17. Let kitten tear remaining paper.
18. Take kitten off box.
19. Wrap paper around box.
20. Remove kitten from box & take wrapping paper from its mouth.
21. Tell older cat to just keep the ribbon so he will stop stealing it.
22. Take other ribbon away from kitten.
23. Take tape older cat is wearing.
24. Quickly tape one spot before finding scissors under older cat &
sitting on them again.
25. Fend off kitten trying to steal tape & tape another spot.
26. Take bow from older cat.
27. Go get roll of wrapping paper kitten ran off with.
28. Take ribbon roll from older cat who took them when you got up.
29. Give pen to older cat to hold so he stops rubbing your face.
30. Remove kitten from present & hurriedly slap tape on to hold the paper
on.
31. Take now soggy bow from kitten & tape on since the sticky stuff no
longer sticks.
32. Take pen from older cat, address tag & affix while kitten tries to eat
pen.
33. Grab present before kitten opens it & put it away.
34. Clean up mess kitten & older cat made playing tug-of-war with
remnants of wrapping paper.
35. Put away rest of wrapping supplies & tell cats what GOOD helpers they
are.

Hysterical!!

That pretty much sums it up. My Manx Harry actually puts his paw on the paper and holds it down for me so that I can cut it properly. He's a great helper, when he's not IN the box, sleeping. He'll fall asleep anywhere. My boyfriend went to the can a few weeks ago and went to pull up his pants and couldn't understand why they were so heavy: Harry had fallen asleep in the legs.

Yep...that sounds about right at my house!!!

Only add a third cat to the mix and there you have it!!!
