Cleo, my rescue. What to put on her poster?

Post by Sara »

She has rhinotracheitis and calcivirus and is 7-10 years old. She's a rescue, she was abandoned and her ear has been tipped. I think about 5 years ago somebody caught her, spayed her, and re-released her into the park where she was abandoned.

I need to make posters, I am desperate to find her a home as she is in quarantine in my guest room (my cats are not happy about this) and I am leaving in two weeks on vacation. I'm also moving into a loft after.

Now what do I write on her flyer that won't scare everybody off? Do I tell everything or wait to get calls? She's going to be a really tough one to place given her age and condition but her personality is perfect. She's the sweetest, most well behaved cat.

I know you weren't asking me but I just loved your last line. That's what I would start it with(and a picture) then add she had been spayed. I am not familar with those health issues but I would put them in last and if minor issues say so. Good Luck, I think you are pretty special yourself. Wanda

Thanks Wanda and yes I was asking you and everybody!

Yes, she is very special and unique. She does not protest at the vets, even when taking blood, bathing or anything. I can't believe she has been abandoned for so long and still she is sweet and loving and docile. I just know she will make a very special pet for somebody. Some cats are naturally stand offish or they raise hell at the vets. Not Cleo. She even covers her poop in the litter box and we all know not all cats do that.

I just won't have allot of room to write on the flyer. I sort of wanted to add that she is a rescued, abandoned special cat. Some people like to offer homes to special cats that need it really bad.

I just can't make a definite decision on what to write.

What about your vet's staff people? Does she have a tech or assistant whom may be interested and can be trusted with her care?

She has asked everybody. My previous vet has two black cats from me already, lol!

She wants a flyer with a photo though to ask her trusted clients with. Thus far, with no picture, she has had no luck. I have the picture, I need to get it developed and laser copies.

HAHAHA! You're talking about Cleo your rescued cat!! not Cleo, me the woman from New York! Sorry, don't mean to laugh but initially I thought you were asking me for your help. Wanda did as well it appears.

Well, now that I'm here I'll just echo what was said. Start the flyer off by stating the fact that she's a well acclimated rescue. If you're limited for room, just instruct those who are interested to call for details or speak with the vet.

Good Luck!

Hehehehehehe Cleo, that was funny!

My rescued kitty Cleo's full name is Santa Cleopatra. Santa because all the vets say she is a "saint" and Cleopatra because she's black. :-)

 I would still be thinking that if you hadn't written, Cleo. I thought you were an expert in the field or something. Good luck, Sara

Sorry for the confustion everybody. I mean, Cleo, my rescued (abandoned) cat.

My kitty Cleo is doing wonderful today. Next week she gets vaccines, worming and she will be ready for a new family. Now to find a good family. She deserves lots of love and a very beautiful life. She's been through so much.
