My dog Nikki doesn't seem to like eating her kibbles - in fact she adores catfood, both canned and kibble. Now I don't intentionally feed her catfood, but she will break into the cat's food dish or chase them away when they're getting a canned treat. It's weird.
Also, while my cats eat their kibble, they love Nikki's dogfood. My cat Mollie can't eat kibble because he swallows it and then vomits it. But my younger ones can eat it without a problem. They eat more dogfood than catfood.
..............
I don't know if there are health risks associated with my pets eating the wrong food, but is there any way I can get them to eat their own food?

Re: Dog doesn't like her own food
We've talked about this before a few times, LinZ......cat food is for cats, dog food is for dogs. Dog food does not contain the necessary nutrients for cats, and can be detrimental to their health.
Seperate your dogs and the cats at feeding times....keep the cat food in areas the dogs can't get to.
Most importantly at this point is getting your dog examined by your vet if she hasn't been eating sufficiently, or has lost weight.
