Tiglet is Home

Post by Tambrey »

She is the cat I took for the spay on barter....hubby fixed our vets e-mail...he fixed our cat :)

I left her there for a little over a day...she went in Wednesday morning and I got her this afternoon...wanted to give her time to totally wake up and be okay...plus, she is a tad asthmatic so I was very worried about anesthesia and all...he checked her before, during and after to make sure she stayed okay through it all...

SHe is alot more hhmmm...subdued...maybe that is not the word either...not so B****Y ...maybe that is more like it...more mellow....

Before I took her in, she would give Sarah or Gump a chase through the house, madder than all get out that they were in her part of the hous...Gypsy and her would have fur flying....today...she growled at Gypsy a bit as she lay onthe desk nearby...she actually went up and sniffed at Gump, then walked away...and Sarah walked by her, while Tigler was eating, and Tiglet just watched her out of the corner of her eye but made no attempt to go after her...

I spoke or typed too soon...Tiglet is on my lap, Sarah just walked in and it is all I can do to keep Tiglet from flying off...but...after a moment, she calmed down and is sitting on the floor giving Sarah an evil eye, but not going after her...

I hope this spaying calms her down alot...

On another note...Baby Roo really missed her...he also has allergies, and has missed her so much he slept in the basement...on the cold floor...he goes to the vet tomorrow because I noticed his eyes are weepy now and he is a bit raspy in his breathing...but then he also acted like he was coughing up a furball...but to be safe, the vet will check him...
But he was soooo happy to have Tiglet back home he did not mind a body bath from her...he layed there and purrrrred while she licked from head to tail...I am surprised he has any fur left!!

Glad to hear that Tiglet is home and doing well. She sounds like she still has lots of spunk! You'll probably have your hands full keeping her quiet for a few days. Take care.

Oh she does...always has...she is the kitten mom found that had enough nerve to manage to get to Mom's front porch...past her dog who will lay and let bunnies eat her food, but heaven forbid a cat cross her path...

She has always been a squirmy active thing that never shuts up or quits moving...except when sleeping, which is not very often for a cat!!

When I took her in yesterday morning, mom had the carrier so I had to use a box...mistake...LOL...she managed to get her head up through the flaps and by the time we were going in the front door, I was holding the bottom of the box on my arm and her head and shoulders with my hands...the vet rushed to take her from me, and we were talking about her in general as he tried to hold her aquirmy body...LOL...she is VERY agile and I do not know HOW she moves like she does sometimes...
he finally laughed and said he had to put her in a kennel before we could talk any more because he was afraid he was going to drop her...LOL...

But she does not seem bothered by her stitches...yet...but then, he also did not shave away alot of fur on her belly either...just enough to get the job done, and since she is a long haired cat, most of her belly is covered with the fur, so she is probably not noticing the bare spot yet...I am sure in another day or so the stitches will start to drive her nuts!!

I do not think I will take her out...LOL...when Sarah was spayed, she is so laid back that mom and I removed her stitches on the dining room table!
(Yes, we both knew what we were doing...)
