Ive done 2 successful Trap-Alter-Releases & have another being vetted as I type. Both releases have been females. Theyve spent the night at the vet after the spay & have been cleared to be released.
What concerns me is that these girls literally rocket out of the trap when released. Im I worrying too much?

Re: Feral Release After Surgery Concern ???
Bless you for your work with ferals!!!
Have you seen and been able to observe the two previous spays since you released them? Have you seen any problems?
I can understand your fear, but I don't think I've ever heard of this being a problem. I don't claim to be an expert, and there are no doubt exceptions, but you likely are more worried than is warranted.
Good luck!!

Re: Feral Release After Surgery Concern ???
Thanks Ron for the kind words. I think I did see F1 yesterday but I cant be sure. Its a wooded area so its hard to ID everybody. Plus a new spay/neuter will hide for hours or even days after release.
Botte', yes there are ferals everywhere. Its a worldwide problem. Im no expert (& Alley Cat Allies says it way better than I can www.alleycatallies.org, ) but if a cat is young enough or is approachable you'll have a good chance of providing a home for them.
