Duramaxx

Post by TheSkeptic »

Wynonna is promoting DURAMAXX for pets with Osteoarthritis. It sounds good, but I am leery of anything a celebrity is promoting. (Remember the THIGHMASTER? )

Here is a link to the site with some interesting information from the manufacturer. ...

and so far, it isn't any better than etogesic, but much more expensive. I do like that it is more cox-2 selective, and should produce fewer GI side effects, but at the dosage recommended for osteoarthritis pain, I don't see any fabulous results-yet!

Came here to ask about a new med for arthritis/hip dysplasia... thought it was called "Demadexx"... A male GSD down the street from us, who is `Eowyn's litter mate, has arthritis and hip dysplasia... is doing well on his meds... I asked neighbor tonight if it is the "Demadexx" [sp?] and Larry said yes, he thought so... all he could think of at the moment was that it is a brownish chew tablet... Chance and 'Win are 7 years old next Tuesday. 'Win is not showing any signs of hip problems, only seems just a bit stiff in the mornings sometimes (I'm not even certain of that) but these neighbors now say they think the recent death of both parents was hip related, rather than kidney problems... So, are Duramaxx and Demadexx the same thing and I just heard the commercial wrong, or are there two separate meds?

than Demadex which is a mite...but like all products , old or new, some will get good to excellant results and some will get zilch..if it is working and there are no adverse effects then it should be kept up.But one case does not make a trend..i would prefer to wait for more f=reports than base it on one case...not by any means saying stop it because it is doing in this dogs case what it is suppsed to do, but personally i would wait a while for new dog use....just an opinion
