This first one is Callie, she's 3 years old now. We've had her since she was (estimated to be) 6 weeks old -- my parents were woken up in the middle of the night with windows closed by the sounds of a loudly crying kitten in the neighboring yard. Her paws were all scraped up, she was covered in fleas, and absolutely starving. The animal warden tried to talk them into keeping her because he said there were waiting lists to get into no-kill shelters in the area they lived in. My fiance and I had already planned on adding a cat to our home, so we volunteered to take her in. She recovered from the fleas and the ouchies beautifully and has been a dainty little sweetheart ever since.
And it's hard to tell from that picture, but she has a neat little heart on her side (taken the first night we had her I think):

And here's Aris, who unfortunately is not feeling too well now. We've had her since she was just a few weeks old. Again, through the workings of my parents. :) Through the nokill shelter they now volunteer at, they're fostering the remainder of the litter (another 3 girls) until they're able to find good homes for them. Unfortunately just a few days after they were born, their mom (a stray) was hit and killed by a car. :( They didn't realize she had little babies until they managed to make their way out of the garage she was living out of.
This was Aris a little while after we started taking care of her (we even had the whole litter for a few days to give my parents a break which was wonderful, very educational, but definitely very time consuming :)), messy with her kitten milk replacer and sitting in my fiance's lap (one of her favorite spots from the very start):

Sorry I babbled too much. I get pretty excited talking about them. :)
