a new kitty found me and she is eating and drinking okay, but she has her tongue hanging out all the time. do you think i need to take her to the vet? i'm on s.s. and only get paid once a month, so it is a week til payday. sorry about the length, but i am happy to have found your website.

More vague posts, LOL. Yes, get kitty to vet ASAP, there could be various oral problems that need to be checked (tooth abcess, oral lesions, severe gingivitis, or even a muscle problem. If kitty is older than 6, full exam and blood profile recommeded please. Just a reminder, all newly adopted kitties (and fosters) should always recieve a primary exam, especially since you don't know their prior health history. An exam is the least expensive part of the vet visit, every dollar well spent. Let me know how it turns out, MA.
