My cat Emily will walk around my apartment with one of her toys (a mouse, etc.) in her mouth and wail. Is this normal?
Also, when I go to bed at night, she cries for a few minutes until I call her name. She's about 2 years old now and I have had her for almost a year, so is this normal? Also, occasionally when I'm leaving my apartment and close the door, I will hear her cry. Is this like a kitty separation anxiety? She doesn't cry at all any other time.

Probably. Sounds like she is really attached to you and demands alot of attention. Be sure you are providing her plenty of toys, a kitty perch near a safe window, maybe a kitty tree, etc..to keep her entertained while you are gone. My cat meows at the door when people leave, even if I am standing right there still.
I think he wants to go out in the hallway and play. I live in an apartment and sometimes we go in the hall and run up an down playing chase.
He does have harsh seperation anxiety though.
My little kitten does too. He gets "lost" all the time in the apartment. He'll walk into the closet or behind an open door or into the kitchen and starting meowing this lost sounding meow, like where am i??? It's really cute.

My kitten dose the same thing, walks around the apt. meowing also, if i go outside he dosen't see us he crys, and he is 5mo.s, we get a kick out of it cause he is in one room with us then we hear in another crying then we call him and he comes running, also at nite after we go to bed he dose the same than i call him and he comes to bed,, i was worried but i see that its like a rounte with him now, i am sure he will out grow it,, and we play alot with him, and sometimes i take him in the car and he loves it rides on the dash
