Great news about the boxer I found

Post by Sue »

I found a great home with a family, two kids. We talked all week long, she lives three hours from me. She ask me to take the dog to the vet on Friday and she would come get her Sat morning (3+ hour drive for her). Well she was a total hit a the vet, won all the attention. The vet figured she was 2-3 years old, no heartworm, parvo, got all her shots and she was spayed at some age. The lady couldn't wait to get her, she called me 5 times yesterday so we decided to meet last night. Her dad drove her and her two kids, me and my son, I met her about and hour from here to help break up her drive. I could hear her son scream with excitement when they pulled up. They had recently lost their lab of 14 years, a house pet and very loved. The kids had already named her Gracie so all day I was calling her her new name. They came with new toys, collar, leash, dog food, blanket for her, etc. We talked more and I was so proud because after 13 calls and talking to people I knew she found a great family that would love her forever. She paid me for my vet bill and gas money, which I didn't want. We are planning on keeping in touch and she can't wait until her husband gets home on Sunday to meet her. Another happy ending. Even though I am a bassett hound nut after having her a week I would consider having a boxer anyday if they were half the dog this one was. I kind of missed her this morning.

I'm so glad you found her a good home. She sounds like a very sweet dog, and she's lucky you were the one who found her.

You couldn't ask for a happier ending!
Are there really people like that left in this world that would repay you for your vet visit and come fully prepared to welcome this dog into their family?
When you think about the events that led up to this, you really have to believe that things happen for a reason.
